Rivera Athletic Center is home to Massachusetts' most prestigious MMA Instructors and provides classes for men, women and children of all ages and skill levels. Rivera Athletic Center has the cutting edge in MMA fitness training for EVERYONE.
Boxing – In our boxing classes the main focus of our instructor is on boxing techniques. You will experience workouts that involve cardio training while learning the proper ways to throw punches, how to avoid and defend your opponent's attack, proper footwork and head movement.
Wrestling – In our wrestling classes you will experience and learn take downs. You will learn how to work in the clinch, defend your opponent's take down attempts, and get the advantage of obtaining the take down yourself.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu – In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, you will learn submissions, sweeps, and passes that you will need to know for a fight, grappling tournament, or just your own personal self-defense. In the GI classes you will also learn collar chokes and how to use your and your opponent's GI (or clothing) to your advantage.
Kickboxing – You will learn the finer points of striking, using your hands, elbows, knees, and shins to strike. You will combine these strikes to put together multiple combinations for use in kickboxing, MMA, or self defense.
COED Classes – We have programs dedicated to women's fitness and self-defense training. Our training regime is focused on strengthening the skills women need to build confidence and get in great shape, while learning the tools to defend themselves.
Conditioning Classes – Conditioning is a big part of Rivera Athletic Center. We never want our athletes to lose a competition because of poor conditioning, and they won't.
Fitness Center – The Rivera Athletic Center also offers a state of the art fitness center. Our weights and cardio areas are complete with free weights, kettle bells, medicine balls, resistant bands, and basically anything you would need to help your achieve your goals. Our staff is always available to assist you in using the equipment and starting a program.
